Dreamgirls

Last night, Plays in the Park. Dreamgirls. Fun to be outside. Found it strange that such a long show would start at 8:30.
This show has the finest score, and some of the greatest musical theater numbers ever. Even with a mediocre cast, the show is wonderful to watch. Very brave of them to tackle such a big show. And it almost worked. Effie lost her voice, and so did Jimmy, so the singing killed it. Hopefully it will be revived for real in the next year.
